I'd planned to breastfeed exclusively, so having an uncooperative body made me feel like a full-on, immediate failure as a mom. I remember walking through the neighborhood after getting the news, cradling my two-week-old son who'd lost so much weight, crying and wondering what kind of mother couldn't nourish her own child. I truly tried it all: tea, herbs, pumping between feedings -- none of it worked. But the formula/BF duo worked wonders.

I'm just so tired of how politicans, media outlets, and the rest try to pit us against each other. As moms, especially, we should all know that there is no single right way.Jaynahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13561124737071669404noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-738572005909004728.post-91307706266622218662012-05-12T06:45:12.193-07:002012-05-12T06:45:12.193-07:00Very well said, I totally agree with you! I beat myself up about it for YEARS until I finally realized that he was being nourished no matter if it was breast or bottle. A mom is a mom, no matter how she feeds her child!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
